Defending champion Barry Burrell took early charge at Thruxton this morning as he beat Kieran Smith to the quickest lap by more than half a second.
Following his win a fortnight ago, Burrell hit the ground running with a 1min 22.101sec lap to go 0.608secs clear of Smith in the opening session.
Christian Smith was third, 0.023s behind his twin brother as Nikki Coates was fourth quickest with Kenny Macleod fifth.
