Quattro Group British Supersport Championship: Kennedy leads Stapleford in combined practice times

14 August 2026

Jack Kennedy moved to the top of the timesheets in today’s second free practice session to end the day on top.

As lap times tumbled in this afternoon’s session, the Honda Racing UK rider clocked a best lap of 1min 16.919secs to end the day just 0.017secs ahead of this morning’s leader, Luke Stapleford.

But the biggest improvement in FP2 came from Oli Bayliss. In his first trip to Thruxton, the Australian had ended FP1 in P10 – but proved he’d definitely got to grips with the track by FP2 as he emerged third quickest at the flag.

Dean Harrison, who was second fastest this morning, ended the day fourth quickest as Harry Truelove rounded out the top five.

James Alderson stayed ahead in the Cup class, finishing p24 and just ahead of the second quickest Cup runner, Cam Swain as Stephen Thomas remained third.
