AJN Steelstock bimota’s Joe Talbot had another strong performance last time out at his home round of the ZYN British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park, and the rookie is now building for Thruxton as he continues his debut campaign.
Talbot has been building momentum in his rookie season with the new AJN Steelstock bimota, claiming a best result of sixth place after the opening half of the season, and is determined to keep the momentum rolling into Thruxton this weekend.
Talbot said: “Oulton Park at the last round was a good weekend for me. The first round earlier in the year was a positive start, so to go back to the same track was good. I have seen improvements with myself and also with my riding, with what I have learnt through the year. We have been making progress throughout the season and the bike we also made changes for Oulton Park and it helped me a lot.
“I had my best ever qualifying in BSB, couple of top ten finishes and unfortunately I had to DNF in the last race, but we had a solid weekend overall and I am really happy with the progress that I have been making. I am excited for Thruxton as I think the AJN Steelstock bimota is going to work really well there and I think you could also say that I am carrying a bit of confidence after a good solid round at Oulton Park. We are making progress all the time and feeling good ready for the next one!”
