Scott Redding is determined to turn up the heat this weekend at his home round of the ZYN British Superbike Championship as the Hager PBM Racing Team rider returns to the Hampshire circuit.
Redding arrives at his home round holding second in the standings, determined to close the deficit to Kyle Ryde. Redding has been a podium finisher before at Thruxton with a best result of second place to Andrew Irwin in the opening race in 2019 by just 0.223s, and he returns this weekend ready for battle.
Redding said: “Thruxton is more of a home race for me as it is pretty local. It is a track that I enjoy but it is also difficult for everyone with the tyres, but it makes it interesting for everyone in the race. I am looking forward to the weekend; it is looking like it is going to be very hot, which will suit me a little bit more as well. I am looking forward to having a good weekend and having the fans out in force.”
