Oli Bayliss picked up where he left off yesterday afternoon as he stormed to pole position ahead of championship leader Luke Stapleford.
In fact, the top four remained unchanged from yesterday’s combined free practice times, with only the injured Ben Currie missing from the timesheets.
Bayliss, who is on a roll aboard the Triumph Macadam Factory Racing machine after winning the last three races, with victories in four of the six he has contested since joining the series at Knockhill, proved he’s very much the man to beat at this point of the year.
His best lap of 1min 35.558secs took him 0.753secs clear of Scars-Racing Ducati’s Stapleford as once again, Dean Harrison beat his Honda Racing UK team-mate Jack Kennedy to third and will round out the front row.
Kennedy will head Row Two in fourth position with Oliver Barr starting fifth.
Following a crash in yesterday’s second session, McAMS Yamaha’s Currie – who was fifth quickest at the end of yesterday’s action - will not be in action for the remainder of the weekend.
In the Cup, Cam Swain remained the fastest in class, ending p18 overall. Ben Tolliday was second with Keo Walker third.
