Storming the times: Stacey leads the opening day at Oulton Park

21 April 2026

Storm Stacey served up the fastest time for Bathams AJN Racing Ducati as the ZYN British Superbike Championship contenders returned to Oulton Park for the final R&G Official Test ahead of the much-anticipated opening round.

Stacey moved ahead of Bradley Ray by 0.201s in the final ten minutes on track, to displace the McAMS Yamaha rider from the top after the 2022 champion had set the pace in the earlier two sessions.

Reigning champion Kyle Ryde officially began his title defence, making his debut on the new Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing Ducati in third place, as the double champion bids to make history by becoming the first rider to win consecutive titles for two different manufacturers.

Max Cook launched the AJN Steelstock bimota into fourth place as the team continue their positive testing programme with the all-new bimota KB988 Rimini Superbike.

Glenn Irwin completed the top five on the second of the Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing Ducatis, holding off Hager PBM Racing Team’s Scott Redding.

Just 0.007s separated Danny Kent and Ryan Vickers in seventh and eighth respectively with Andrew Irwin and Rory Skinner completing the top ten, just easing out double champion Josh Brookes.
