Ilya Mikhalchik stormed to yet another commanding win in today’s Superstock race, as two of his race rivals crashed out.
The ROKiT BMW Motorrad man got straight out in front from pole as today’s 12-lap scrap roared into action and had already built a lead of almost two seconds when the Safety Car was deployed on Lap Four.
When it went in two laps later, the Ukrainian powered off into the sunset and it became a battle for second between Josh Owens, Brad Perie and David Allingham.
However, it all changed on Lap 10 as the Perie clipped Owens’ rear wheel as they headed into the Loop and both crashed out, almost taking Allingham with them.
Allingham managed to stay upright but dropped to third as Luke Mossey came through and that was the podium settled. Mikhalchik won by 4.915secs from Mossey, with Allingham third.
Brayden Elliott was next rider home in fourth position as he led a six-bike train over the line, with Jack Bednarek rounding out the top five.
