Ethan Sparks continued his Donington domination as he powered to this evening’s second BTC race win to close in on the championship.
Fresh from a win in Race One, Sparks had hoped to do it again in the second – but points leader Filip Surowiak had other ideas, as he took the lead on the opening lap from pole.
Sparks hit the front on the third lap and despite dropping back around mid way, was back ahead by Lap 10, only to drop to second on the final lap when Surowiak squeezed past.
However, a slight moment by Surowiak created a domino effect behind and Ryan Frost and Harrison Mackay got caught up, both crashing out.
Ahead, Sparks made another move for the front, passing Surowiak at the Loop to hit the front and held it to the line, beating Surowiak by 0.213secs.
Jack Dunabie was third to round out the podium, with Clayton Edmunds fourth and Peter Willis fifth.
