Scott Redding claimed the Omologato Pole Position in a one stage Bandero Café Shoot Out Qualifying session at Donington Park, setting the fastest ever BSB lap of the circuit by 0.051s to hold off defending champion Kyle Ryde and Rory Skinner ahead of race one.
Skinner had surged initially to the top of the times before Ryde had a turn at the top, but Redding pushed the pace further to put the Hager PBM Ducati team at the top of the times as the top 12 riders were covered by jut 0.999s.
Ryde held an advantage over Skinner as the pair completed the front row, with McAMS Racing Yamaha’s Danny Kent leading the second row from Andrew Irwin and Leon Haslam.
Bradley Ray had his toughest qualifying performance of the season so far in seventh place to start on the third row, just ahead of Glenn Irwin and Charlie Nesbitt, with Max Cook completing the top ten.
