Rhys Irwin will continue his championship fightback from pole position this afternoon, after beating Luke Stapleford to the best lap in qualifying.
The Gearlink Bike Performance 15 rider will head the grid thanks to a hot lap of 1min 30.202secs, which took him 0.297secs clear of Stapleford’s Macadam Triumph Racing machine.
Stapleford will start from second, while Joe Talbot – who is this weekend also getting his first taste of Superbikes as a stand in for Lee Jackson - will round out the front row.
Defending champion Jack Kennedy will lead Row Two in fourth spot, just ahead of his Honda Racing UK team-mate Dean Harrison.
In the Cup, it was Josh Bannister who shot to the top of the class timings ahead of Lewis Jones as Stephen Thomas was third.
