Jack Kennedy took charge in today’s second practice session at Donington Park to secure the best lap of the day and lead into tomorrow.
The defending champion improved his time from this morning with a 1min 30.815sec lap, going 0.163secs clear of MMB Racing Ducati’s Eugene McManus.
This morning’s leader, Rhys Irwin, didn’t get a fast lap in during the session – but his fast time from this morning’s run was just 0.018secs shy of Kennedy and enough to keep him second quickest on the combined timesheets.
Third quickest in FP2 and fourth overall was Kennedy’s Honda Racing UK team-mate Dean Harrison, who has been running well all day at a track where he has historically scored some of his best results. Oliver Barr rounds out the top five.
Lewis Jones was the rider to beat in the Cup class, the LJ Motorsport Triumph rider going just 0.275s clear of this morning’s leader Stephen Thomas, with Keo Walker third.
