Quattro Group British Supersport Championship: Kennedy back on the box with Sprint win

21 September 2025

Jack Kennedy picked up his first win since Knockhill in July in this morning’s delayed Sprint race, beating Oliver Barr by just 0.288s.

MMB Racing Ducati’s Eugene McManus took the lead on the opening lap but wasn’t able to hold off Binch Pro Ducati’s Oliver Barr who has been fast all weekend so far.

Barr hit the front on Lap Two but behind, the likes of Luke Stapleford, Kennedy and Rhys Irwin were keen to get to the front, as McManus began to slip back.

Defending champion Kennedy made a move for the front on Lap Seven and then on the penultimate lap, Stapleford found a way past and into P1.

But Kennedy wasn’t having it and made a late move to steal the spot back and managed to carry it to the line. Stapleford was second rider home but was then hit with a one-place penalty for exceeding track limits.

This meant Barr took second with Stapleford third, as Rhys Irwin was fourth with Fenton Seabright fifth.
