Ethan Sparks converted pole into today’s race win as he held off Ryan Frost to take victory as rain stopped play at Assen.
Kovara Projects/RS Racing’s Sparks hit the front at the start, but Frost was never far behind, hitting the front on Lap Six.
However, in typical BTC style, the battle for victory continued to rage between the top four, as behind, points leader Filip Surowiak came through to join the fight.
Sparks was back ahead by Lap Nine and led for the next two laps. Rain, which had appeared earlier in the race, suddenly worsened on Lap 11 forcing a red flag three laps early.
Both Frost and Surowiak had been hoping for a late fight to the line but were denied the chance, as Sparks took victory from Frost with Surowiak third, Jack Dunabie fourth and Jack Burrows fifth.
