Leon Haslam snatched the top position in the final Bennetts British Superbike Championship Free Practice session at the TT Circuit Assen this morning for the Moto Rapido Ducati Racing team, edging out Scott Redding by 0.065s.
Redding had initially set the benchmark on the Hager PBM Ducati, but Haslam’s last lap fired him ahead as we prepare for today’s Bandero Café Shoot Out Qualifying session and opening race at the Dutch circuit.
Kyle Ryde was third fastest for the Nitrous Competitions Racing Yamaha team, just ahead of MasterMac Honda’s Charlie Nesbitt and Tommy Bridewell who completed the top five for Honda Racing UK.
Storm Stacey was sixth fastest on the Bathams AJN Racing BMW, ahead of Danny Kent and John McPhee, whilst Bradley Ray and Max Cook completed the top ten.
