It was enough to take the Wilson Racing rider 0.431secs clear at the top, with Clayton Edmunds finding the second quickest lap ahead of championship challenger Filip Surowiak.
Peter Willis ended the session fourth quickest, just ahead of Ethan Sparks, who comes into this season finale weekend leading the championship by just two points over Surowiak.
