Kas Beekmans is the 2025 Sportbike champion after crossing the line fifth in today’s 12-lap race – as Asher Durham took victory.
Beekmans, who has dominated the championship all year, needed to simply finish sixth in today’s race to guarantee title glory – and did it with a P5 after a hectic race.
“It feels incredible, that race was hectic,” he said. “I had so much fun but I was trying to be calm. I knew I had to stay in the first six positions, I managed to do it and it feels incredible. I’m speechless to be fair.”
Up front, the battled raged between several riders but Durham was determined to win. Despite the lead swapping numerous times, the Powerslide Suzuki man held off Alfie Davidson to take victory by just 0.018secs.
Edmund Best crossed the line third with Ferre Fleerackers fourth and Beekmans rounding out the top five.
