Moto Rapido Racing and Haslam ready to launch title attack in 2026

18 October 2025

Leon Haslam and the Moto Rapido Ducati Racing team have today (Saturday) announced they will extend their partnership into a second consecutive season, reuniting in 2026 for an attack on the title after a successful opening campaign together in the 2025 Bennetts British Superbike Championship.

Moto Rapido Racing signed Haslam for the 2025 season, reuniting him with Ducati for the first time since 2007 and having a successful season, remaining in mathematical contention for the title at the season finale after eight podium finishes including a victory.

Haslam arrived at the final round holding third place in the overall standings, as Moto Rapido Racing now look ahead to 2026 and their quest for a debut Superbike crown, having come close previously, including finishing runner-up in 2021.

Haslam said: “Obviously I am super excited for next year and to be staying with the Moto Rapido team. It had been 18 years since I last rode a Ducati and this year it has been amazing riding for Wilf, he has put together an absolutely fantastic bike and team out for me this year. It has been a bit of a learning process for me to understand the bike this year and find the base set-up, but as the last two rounds have proven, once we have found that, we have been the highest point’s scorer in the championship.

“We are so excited to extend this relationship and especially with the new bike that is coming from Ducati, there has been a lot of positivity about it. We have gathered a lot of information and experience this year, so from my side it is super exciting and I feel that together we can make that next step to make a proper challenge for the title in 2026.”

Team Owner Steve Moore commented: “Leon has been a fantastic fit in our team in the first year. Taking the team to third in the championship standings, while we develop the bike for him has been very rewarding for us and our sponsors, so it was an easy decision to agree on the contract extension for 2026.

“With the 2026 V4R coming and a season of experience with Leon, I’m very much looking forward to next season in BSB.”
