The Sencat by Swan Racing team are already gearing up to take on the 2026 season, announcing today (Friday) that they will be doubling their efforts in the Superbike class to field a two-strong rider line-up with a change in manufacturer with a move to Yamaha for the new campaign.
The team have strong foundations in the British Championship paddock, having competed in multiple classes and as the sole team fielding the Aprilia in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship this season, Team Owner Chris Barnes is now looking ahead to a new chapter in 2026.
The expanded presence in the Superbike class will feature two riders, whilst the team will also continue to line-up onboard Triumphs in the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship with two riders. The team will announce their 2026 rider line-up in both classes in due course.
Team Owner Chris Barnes commented: “From the outside, Sencat by Swan Racing looks to have had a tough season, and in honesty we have, but we all have to remember that this is British Championship racing, with some of the toughest levels of racing, so it’s never going to be easy.
“I feel though that the team have continued to get stronger and this is down to a passionate team around me, who are working hard towards a common goal together. This has made it such a pleasure to go racing and it’s so important that we have fun.
“I want to thank everyone who has been involved with the Superbike project this season, including the riders Lewis Rollo, Tom Sykes and Danny Webb. There is no doubt in my mind that with more time, the Aprilia RSV4 could run at the sharp end, but with just one bike, it makes the development a longer process.
“With that in mind, Sencat by Swan Racing will be changing manufacturers to Yamaha next season. It has a history of success in BSB and packaged with the right rider, I believe that there is no reason we can’t run at the sharp end straight away.
“I am so looking forward to going racing with my current team members joined by some new additions, who combined have years of experience at all levels, including the World Championship. Together I am one hundred percent confident that we have everything we need to be title contenders.”
