Australian Max Stauffer will make his Quattro Group British Supersport Championship debut this weekend at Brands Hatch with the Astro-JJR HIPPO Suzuki team, working closely with multiple British champion Glen Richards.
Australian Superbike and Supersport contender Max Stauffer has racing in his blood as the son of double ASBK champion Jamie Stauffer, and is now gearing up for his debut on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit this weekend. The 21-year-old will be joined in the team by Richards, who takes on the role of crew chief and mentor for the season finale.
Stauffer said: “I’m really stoked to be here with the Astro-JJR Hippo Team for the finale at Brands Hatch. I am looking forward to working with Stu, James and the boys, plus I also have Glen Richards flying over to look after me. I now have chance measure myself against some of the best Supersport riders in the world, so bring it on!”
Team Owner Stuart Tromans commented: “I'm sure at the start of the year nobody thought this was the way we would finish the year, but I am looking forward to seeing three bright yellow HIPPO Suzukis on the grid at Brands Hatch.”
