Sparks & Surowiak promoted up the Road to MotoGP™

26 November 2025

2025 R&G Moto4 British Cup champion Ethan Sparks is being promoted up the Road to MotoGP next season in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.

A further opportunity for the 2025 champion has been announced today as he will also line up in the Momoven Moto4 European Cup in 2026 with MLav Racing. As Sparks is not yet eligible to race in the FIM Moto3 Junior World Championship, he will gain more experience in the Moto4 European Cup in the same MotoJunior paddock.

Sparks started out in the FIM MotoMini World Series in the 160cc class and then in the 190cc class, including racing in the World Finals in Valencia, before winning the Moto4 British Cup in 2025. Now the reigning champion is set for a full season in the Moto4 European Cup alongside his promotion to the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.

Joining Sparks, 2025 Moto4 British Cup contender Filip Surowiak will join the MotoJunior paddock and also take the next step on the Road to MotoGP. The 2025 British runner up took the most wins, but just lost out on the crown by 13 points. After his impressive season and being eligible to make the move to the FIM Moto3 Junior World Championship already, he’ll be joining the Junior Talent Team in Moto3 Junior for 2026.
