Australia’s Henry Snell powered to his second win of the weekend as he crossed the line 0.353secs clear of Calum Beach.
The drama began before the race even started, as polesitter James Cook crashed out on the warm-up lap, giving yesterday’s winner Snell a clear run at the start, the ROKiT Rookie grabbing the holeshot to lead.
Even a small mistake halfway through the race which dropped him back to third couldn’t stop Snell’s charge, as he quickly found his way back to the front, to take the win ahead of Beach, with Marley Mackenzie third, Craig Dance fourth and Greg Marshal fifth.
