Barry Burrell continued to dominate the opening day of action as he topped the timesheets for the third time to claim pole for Heat One tomorrow.
His best lap of 1min 44.252s was 0.227s clear of Varey, who in turn will start Heat Two from pole.
Third fastest was James Bull, with James Ellison fourth and Nikki Coates fifth.
