The 2025 Bennetts British Superbike Championship gets underway this May Bank Holiday weekend (May 3/4/5) at Oulton Park with a 26-strong rider grid set to battle for the most coveted title in UK motorsport.
Kyle Ryde returns with the number one plate following the greatest Showdown in Bennetts BSB history last year when he defeated Tommy Bridewell in an epic decider at Brands Hatch hailed ‘the race of the decade’ and the rivalry continues in 2025.
As Ryde begins his title defence of the number one plate this weekend with OMG Nitrous Competitions Racing Yamaha, Bridewell is back with Honda Racing UK and after missing a second consecutive title by a single point last season, he is firmly hunting title number two.
Bennetts BSB features a five star line up this season as reigning champion Ryde (2024) takes on previous champions Bridewell (2023), Bradley Ray (2022), Josh Brookes (2015, 2020) and Leon Haslam (2018) as they prepare to battle for another crown.
The incredibly competitive line-up is strengthened further as half of the contenders lining up for the season opener have already claimed Bennetts BSB race wins, including Glenn Irwin who has been a strong title challenger in recent seasons and 2015 Moto3 World champion Danny Kent.
The grid also features riders making their debut in 2025 including former Moto3 World Championship contender John McPhee and Pirelli National Superstock Championship title contender Scott Swann.
Bennetts British Superbike Championship Series Director Stuart Higgs commented: “In recent seasons Bennetts BSB has delivered the most incredible racing, with everything on the line to become the champion at the Brands Hatch season finale. Every year it almost seems impossible that it can get any closer and yet it has, and with this impressive entry list of teams and riders, I am sure that 2025 will deliver another sensational title fight all the way to the final lap of the season. Let battle commence.”
