Reigning Bennetts British Superbike champion Kyle Ryde is set to wildcard in the ROKiT OFF BMW F 900 R Cup at Donington Park on July 11/12/13 as a support class to the UK round of the Superbike World Championship.

Currently sitting second in the 2025 standings for the OMG Nitrous Competitions Racing Team, Ryde will make his debut in the one-make series at Donington Park, aiming to compete alongside the frontrunners in the series such as Nikki Coates, Barry Burrell, and Bobby Varey.

Ryde said: “I had a quick go on an F 900 R Cup bike at a track day in Valencia and thought these bikes were great fun. Donington Park is my favourite track and I love riding any bike around there. The opportunity to ride as a wildcard at the WorldSBK round presented itself, and with the blessing from my OMG Nitrous Competition team, Alan Gardner and Paul Curran, I was desperate to have a go and join in the fun. A big thanks to my team and I can’t wait to get involved.”

Scott Grimsdall, BMW Motorrad UK Head of Marketing & PR said: “Firstly, a big thanks to Kyle’s team, alongside Alan Gardner and Paul Curran, for allowing Kyle to participate for the sheer sport and entertainment of seeing the reigning BSB Champion on this packed F 900 R Cup grid. The calibre of rider both in this class, and those looking to ride here for fun, speaks volumes of the Championship.”

Now in its third season, and set to run at least until the end of 2027, the F 900 R Cup has seen a number of high-profile wildcards participate in the series, including former WorldSBK Champion Troy Corser, three-times BSB Championship winner Niall Mackenzie, and former Superbike rider James Ellison.

Updated for 2025, the new F 900 R retains the same 105hp parallel-twin engine, but now with lighter wheels and refined geometry. The dynamic BMW F 900 R roadster is available to purchase from any BMW Motorrad UK retailer, at a total cost of £13,242 inc VAT, which includes a brand-new 2025 F 900 R, plus full race kit and ECU upgrade.
