Nikki Coates took today’s Main Event win after a dramatic race where early leader Barry Burrell crashed out after a coming-together with James Bull.
Burrell had hit the front on the opening lap and had Bull snapping at his heels – and it all went wrong on the third lap as the pair collided and crashed out of the race.
Coates, who had been just behind in third place, took the lead and was never challenged as the main fight became for second place as Robert Varey and Kieran Smith battled.
Coates crossed the line 3.781secs ahead of Varey, with Smith third, as series rookie Kalvin Kelly was fourth and polesitter Josh Corner fifth.
