Ilya Mikhalchik won today’s Superstock battle after a race-long scrap with Luke Mossey – as Tom Ward stole runner-up spot after a misjudged last lap move by Mossey.
Mossey hit the front at the start with Mikhalchik in hot pursuit, taking the lead on lap five. Mossey kept in close contact and made a move for the front at the last corner of the penultimate lap.
But Mikhalchik got the better of him seconds later on the straight, forcing Mossey to try a last ditch move at the end of the lap which didn’t work and forced him off track.
Tom Ward, running third, was able to sneak ahead and grab second as Mossey rejoined to take third, with David Allingham fourth and Matt Truelove fifth.
