Bradley Ray set the pace in the opening Bennetts British Superbike Championship Free Practice session in the scorching heat of Snetterton to lead defending champion Kyle Ryde by 0.386s with Glenn Irwin completing the top three for Hager PBM Ducati.
As the final minutes of the session ticked down, Rory Skinner fired the Cheshire Mouldings Ducati into fourth place to stay ahead of Leon Haslam and Moto Rapido Ducati Racing with Christian Iddon completing the top six for AJN Steelstock Kawasaki.
Tommy Bridewell was the fastest of the Honda Racing UK riders in seventh place, just ahead of Danny Kent. Fraser Rogers and Storm Stacey completed the top ten ahead of this afternoon’s free practice two session.
