Rory Skinner is eager to get back on track this weekend for the third round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Snetterton as he aims to build on the debut podium finish he achieved with the TAS Racing team since their move to Ducati.
Skinner was back on the podium at Donington Park, fighting with the lead pack as both the Scot and the team continue to get to grips with the Ducati V4 R, after several years with different manufacturers.
Skinner said: “After the first few rounds with the Cheshire Mouldings Ducati squad, there has been a lot of learning with the new bike for both myself and the team. We have definitely started to make some progress now; race two at Oulton Park we really started to understand the bike some more and the race pace became a lot closer to the guys at the front.
“The Donington Park weekend started off at the same point, and automatically we felt really comfortable on the bike. I did my personal fastest ever lap of Donington Park straight away in FP1, so from there we have really just been trying to refine the bike a little more and work on getting me comfortable and over the Donington weekend I really made massive steps with how I feel on the Ducati.
“I am really looking forward to Snetterton, I have had time to think a little more in depth about the bike since the last round and the team have analysed the first few rounds and I am looking forward to getting back on it.”
