Quattro Group British Supersport Championship: Talbot stays ahead as Currie heads FP2

04 July 2025

Joe Talbot takes away the opening day bragging rights after clocking the best Supersport lap of the day – as Ben Currie took charge in the rain at Knockhill this afternoon.

Moto Rapido Ducati Racing’s Currie ended FP2 on top with a lap of 54.528secs, as heavy rain made it impossible for anyone else to improve on this morning’s times.

Talbot, who was second quickest ahead of defending champ Jack Kennedy this afternoon, therefore leads into Saturday with his 54.244s lap set this morning.

Currie was the only one in the top five to go quicker this afternoon, allowing him to move from fifth to fourth on the combined timesheets

Ben Tolliday was quickest in the Cup class this afternoon with a 56.310s lap, but Keo Walker’s 55.390s from this morning was still enough to keep him ahead overnight.

Quattro Group British Supersport Championship, Combined practice:

1.    Joe Talbot (Binch Pro Ducati) 54.244s
