28 July 2025

McAMS Racing Yamaha and Danny Kent celebrated a breakthrough performance at Brands Hatch last weekend as they delivered two Bennetts British Superbike Championship podium finishes on Sunday, including a season-best result of second place.

Following a challenging start to their 2025 campaign, the McAMS-backed squad arrived at Brands Hatch with high expectations, as the iconic Kent circuit was the scene of the team’s first Bennetts BSB victory at the close of the 2024 season.

Kent and the team continued to build throughout the weekend and a strong Sunday delivered their first podium of the year firmly before being in the battle for the race win in the final clash of the weekend, to finish second.

The team have now climbed two positions in the championship standings, holding fifth overall heading into Kent’s home round at Thruxton in two weeks’ time.

Kent said: “It’s no lie we’ve had a difficult season up to now and this weekend we made the progress we’ve been searching for with the bike to give me the feeling I’ve been searching for. At the weekend, the results spoke for themselves, and it’s a real boost for me and the team moving ahead to Thruxton where we're also really strong. A big thanks to the team for all of their efforts at the weekend.”

Tim Martin, McAMS Racing, Team Owner concluded: “The weekend at Brands Hatch was a real turning point for us. After a tough start to the season, to come away with two podiums, including a strong second-place finish is a huge boost for everyone in the team.

“Danny rode incredibly well under pressure, showing the pace and determination we’ve always believed in. The crew did a fantastic job getting the bike in a great window, and the results are a testament to their hard work. We’ll take this momentum into Thruxton and keep pushing for the top step.”
