Championship leader Ilya Mikhalchik fought back to top the timesheets going into Day Two at Brands Hatch.
The ROKiT BMW Motorrad rider left it late in the session to clock his best time, a 1min 27.212sec on his penultimate lap to knock this morning’s leader, David Allingham, off the top spot.
Allingham had to settle for second, just 0.018secs adrift, with Tom Ward third, Josh Owens fourth and Tom Oliver in fifth.
