Barry Burrell and Nikki Coates once again took a win apiece in this afternoon’s Heat races at Thruxton.
From pole, Burrell made easy work of Heat One as he hit the front on the opening lap and quickly built a buffer of around a second as the battle became for second between James Bull and Josh Corner, eventually going Bull’s way on the last lap, with Harley Prebble finishing fourth and James Clearly fifth.
As Heat Two got underway, Smith brothers Kieran and Christian both leapfrogged polesitter Coates, but the points leader was back ahead before the end of the lap.
Coates was able to keep a clear lead, eventually winning by 1.497secs as Kieran was third ahead of Christian, with Joe Walton fourth and Scott Carson fifth.
