Filip Surowiak boosted his BTC championship lead this afternoon after beating Ethan Sparks in a last corner move.
Sparks had dominated much of the race, charging off the line and straight into the lead, dropping back to second very briefly on lap eight when Surowiak got past before blasting straight back ahead a lap later.
The leaders were around five seconds ahead of the rest of the pack as the final lap began and Surowiak was all over the back of Sparks until a slight wobble at Village looked to unsettle him enough to give Sparks a tiny bit of breathing space.
But Sparks then had his own moment coming into the chicane and Surowiak needed no invitation as he shot through and into the lead, taking victory seconds later by 0.226secs.
Harrison Mackay crossed the line in third position with Ryan Frost fourth and Mason Foster fifth.
