Jack Kennedy put his head down and came out on top as the Supersport pack resumed action for FP2 at Thruxton this afternoon.
After this morning’s session was led by Macadam Triumph Racing’s Luke Stapleford, this afternoon was all about defending champ Kennedy, who powered his Honda Racing UK machine to the top of the timesheets with a 1min 17.040sec lap.
It was enough to give him P1 at the end of the day by 0.176secs, as Lee Johnston secured the second quickest time aboard his SENCAT by Swan Racing Triumph.
Stapleford was third overall, just ahead of points leader Rhys Irwin in fourth as Kennedy’s team-mate Dean Harrison rounded out the top five.
Joe Farragher stayed in control in the Cup class after leading this morning, with Stephen Thomas second and Josh Bannister third.
