It’s summer madness as the Bennetts British Superbike Championship reaches Thruxton and with the mercury rising, tensions are reaching boiling point arriving at Europe’s fastest circuit ready for the fast and furious action – your only motorsport fix this weekend (August 8/9/10)!
The intense and high-speed Thruxton circuit has delivered Yamaha a flawless winning record since 2021; celebrating 12 consecutive race victories with Jason O’Halloran, Ryan Vickers, Tarran Mackenzie and Kyle Ryde.
Whilst Honda has claimed podium finishes, they have not won at the circuit since 2019 with Andrew Irwin, whilst Josh Brookes gave Ducati their last victory at the circuit the same year.
Yamaha riders head the standings ahead of this weekend; Bradley Ray had his podium finishing momentum abruptly ended last time out, but still had a 34-point lead ahead of defending champion and most recent race winner, Kyle Ryde.
Meanwhile Nitrous Competitions OMG Racing Yamaha target a return to two riders as Glenn Irwin heads to Thruxton in his quest to return to Bennetts BSB action with the team following injury after a heavy crash at Snetterton.
The blue corner is boosted further by Danny Kent, the McAMS Racing Yamaha rider reignited his season with podiums at Brands Hatch and has high hopes after being in the battle at Thruxton last season.
Scott Redding fired the red corner back to winning ways at Brands Hatch; the Hager PBM Ducati team back on top for the first time in 2025, returning to the circuit where he was a podium finisher in 2019 during his title-winning season.
Rory Skinner on the Cheshire Mouldings Ducati, Moto Rapido Ducati Racing’s Leon Haslam and Honda Racing UK’s Tommy Bridewell hold the final places in the top six in the standing’s ahead of the Thruxton dogfight.
