Pirelli National Sportbike Championship: Victory for Dessoy as poleman Barnes crashes out

25 August 2025

Harrison Dessoy stormed to a commanding win to kick off race day at Cadwell Park, beating Asher Durham by more than eight seconds.

The race brought drama from the opening lap when polesitter Ash Barnes, who had got out in front, crashed at Chris Curve. Fenton Seabright was now the leader but by the end of the second lap, Dessoy was ahead.

From there, it became a fight for second as Dessoy quickly built a comfortable lead at the front and battle began to rage between Durham, Seabright, Zak Shelton, Alfie Davidson and Ferre Fleerackers.

The scrap ran all the way to the last lap, with Durham emerging strongest to claim second, 8.102secs behind Dessoy as Seabright was third, Fleerackers fourth and Davidson fifth.
