Rhys Irwin ended the opening day at Cadwell Park on top as he beat Jack Kennedy to the quickest lap of the day this afternoon.
The Gearlink Bike Performance 15 rider clocked a 1min 28.547s lap in FP2, as times tumbled by about a second from this morning’s session to go 0.214secs clear of defending champion Kennedy, who had led the way in FP1.
Third was points leader Ben Currie on the Moto Rapido Ducati Racing, ahead of Luke Stapleford as Harry Truelove rounded out the top five.
There was a change at the top in the Cup, as Ben Tolliday held off this morning’s leader Joe Farragher to lead the class, with Lewis Jones third.
