Christian Iddon and Max Cook took the AJN Steelstock Kawasaki team to their first podium finishes of the season last time out at Thruxton in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, with the pair aiming to replicate the performance again this weekend at Cadwell Park.
The podium finish marked Iddon’s first since moving to Team Green, with the pair both celebrating podium success as they now bid to carry the momentum into the Bank Holiday event.
Iddon said: “So, we’re now at Cadwell which could not be more different to Thruxton if we tried! We’re coming off a real good Thruxton, the bike just worked really well to be fair. Obviously we’re hoping we can carry that momentum forward, it’s just a good feeling, I mean there’s been a good feeling in the team all year, but for the team to get a double podium, myself and Max (Cook) getting on the podium at Thruxton, we’re obviously pleased with that.
“Cadwell itself, it’s one of those places where you know what kind of weekend you’re going to have within the first five laps, you either gel with the place straight away or it’s difficult. Obviously, it’s the first time riding the Kawasaki around here but I’m looking forward to the weekend. It was on pole last year so I know it’s more than capable of doing it well and we’ve made progress round on round, so we’re just hoping to continue that wave of form and keep progressing our way towards the front.”
