Ryan Vickers topped the Bennetts British Superbike Championship warm up session at Oulton Park as the OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing rider surged to the top in the wet conditions to displace Christian Iddon from the top of the times.
The times continued to shuffle in the closing stages but Vickers was able to maintain the advantage, just ahead of Oxford Products Racing Ducati’s Iddon and Glenn Irwin, who climbed to third in the final minute for Hager PBM Ducati.
Storm Stacey relished the wet conditions to post the fourth fastest time for the Team LKQ Euro Car Parts Kawasaki team, holding off Leon Haslam and Andrew Irwin, who narrowly stayed ahead of teammate Tommy Bridewell.
Josh Brookes was eighth fastest for FHO Racing BMW Motorrad, whilst Danny Kent and Jason O'Halloran completed the top ten. Yesterday’s race winner Kyle Ryde was 18th at the chequered flag.
