Quattro Group British Supersport and GP2/HEL Supersport Cup: Kennedy stays on top to secure pole

Jack Kennedy continued to dominate at Knockhill this morning as he swept to pole ahead of this afternoon’s Sprint race.

The Honda Racing UK rider stayed on top as he beat Luke Stapleford by just 0.024secs with a best lap of 49.302secs.

Rhys Irwin crossed the line third quickest in his first round with the Gearlink Kawasaki squad, closely followed by Eunan McGlinchey as Eugene McManus qualified fifth.

Owen Jenner was quickest in GP2, qualifying seventh over all, with his Kramer Racing team-mate Jack Nixon close being and Keo Walker third.

In the Cup, Adon Davie made the most of his local knowledge to take class pole, ahead of Mikey Hardie and Lynden Leatherland.
