Tommy Bridewell maintained his position at the top of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship standings as his title defence reaches Cadwell Park this August Bank Holiday weekend (24/25/26 August) at Honda Racing UK’s home round.
Bridewell holds a 25-point edge at the top of the standings ahead of this weekend’s final round of the Main Season as the point’s value increases across the final three events. Bridewell took victory at Knockhill, but has also amassed a tally of ten podiums which puts him ahead of his rivals as the Showdown looms.
Bridewell said: “We may not have come away from Thruxton with a haul of trophies, but we achieved our objective of extending the championship lead at a round that we know our competitors are strong.
“Heading to Cadwell next, it’s important that we keep our heads down and keep on working together to maximise everything. The circuit rewards being precise and accurate, nailing all of your markers and it definitely suits my style. It’s a circuit that I have been strong at in the past and I’m excited to see what results we can achieve with the Fireblade.”
