Wildcard Marco Morelli destroyed the opposition to take the opening R&G British Talent Cup win by almost 12 seconds at Thruxton.
Ryan Frost had led into turn one at the start but it didn’t take long for Morelli to catch and get ahead – and from there he was untouchable.
But there was plenty of action behind as the battle became for second place, ultimately won by the second FibreTec Honda of Frost as Julian Correa came home third after pipping Filip Surowiak at the line.
Lucas Brown was able to extend his points lead in fifth, after his main championship rival, polesitter Amanuel Brinton, crashed after the pair tangled on Lap 11.
