Luke Stapleford continued his strong Thruxton run as he powered to pole ahead of Jack Kennedy this morning.
The Macadam Triumph Racing rider, who has been fastest in all sessions so far this weekend, kept the momentum going into Qualifying as he banked a best lap of 1min 16.302secs.
It was enough to keep Honda Racing UK’s Kennedy behind him by 0.480ses as Carter Brown secured the third best time to round out the front row.
Defending champ Ben Currie will line up in fourth position on the second row, with Dean Harrison starting fifth.
Mikey Hardie continued his successful run by taking pole in the Cup class, qualifying p17 overall, with Adon Davie second in class and Hardie’s ROKiT Rookie team-mate Joe Farragher third.
Owen Jenner remained the strongest of the GP2 runners to take class pole and will start p21 on the grid, his Kramer Racing team-mate Jack Nixon starting second with Keo Walker third.
