LAMI OMG Racing Yamaha remained on top of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship Free Practice times at Donington Park this morning, but it was Ryan Vickers who set the pace in the third session, 0.025s ahead of teammate Kyle Ryde.
Ryde had set the benchmark yesterday, which remains the fastest lap of the weekend so far but in a cooler morning session, Vickers held the advantage as Yamaha continued to lead the way.
Leon Haslam was back inside the top three for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad team as Charlie Nesbitt again moved up the order in the closing stages to hold fourth for the MasterMac Honda by Hawk Racing team.
Jason O'Halloran completed the top five for McAMS Yamaha to remain ahead of the BeerMonster Ducati teammates Tommy Bridewell and Glenn Irwin in sixth and seventh positions respectively.
Storm Stacey had a strong performance in eighth place ahead of Peter Hickman and Christian Iddon who completed the top ten, whilst Héctor Barberá crashed at the Esses and has been declared unfit for the remainder of the weekend.
