Evan Belford has been crowned 2023 British Talent Cup Champion as Filip Surowiak took his first class victory.
As the Polish pilot celebrated a shock victory after last lap drama where leader Amanuel Brinton and Ronnie Harris crashed out, a devastated Sullivan Mounsey watched his championship hopes vanish when he was taken out by Harrison Dessoy on lap 10.
Surowiak crossed the line 1.257secs clear of America’s Julian Correa as Harley McCabe took third.
With Mounsey out, Belford was now champion and was able to cruise home in fourth place behind Harley McCabe, as Ryan Frost rounded out the top five.
