Points leader Ben Currie will head the grid for today’s Feature race after beating Zak Corderoy to pole.
Australia’s Currie took charge during qualifying, cementing the top spot on his final run with a hot lap of 1min 30.487secs to gap Corderoy by more than half a second.
Corderoy, meanwhile, managed to hold off Eugene McManus as the lap times tumbled in the final two minutes, to claim second position on the grid, while McManus will round out the front row.
Behind, it was a scramble to make the second row but it was rookie Casey O’Gorman who finally got to show what he is capable of as he stormed to the fourth quickest lap, forcing Supersport stalwart Luke Stapleford back to fifth.
Barry Burrell proved to be the man to beat in GP2 as his Kramer clocked the best time of the day, closely followed by Cameron Fraser with Harvey Claridge third.
