Brian McCormack announced his arrival in the ABK Beer 0% BMW Motorrad F900 R Cup in style as he held off Jordan Ashington to take the Last Chance Qualifier victory.
Polesitter Benji Compton was fast off the line and led for a handful of laps but wildcard McCormack soon found his way to the front and eventually won by 1.411secs.
James O’Mara – who was disappointed after crashing out of the earlier Heat Two, took third as Compton was fourth while Tom Stevens rounded out the top five.
