Triumph has announced that it will offer riders and teams the opportunity to race a version of its 660cc three-cylinder motorcycle in the new 2024 Pirelli National Sportbike Championship.
Working in conjunction with PHR Performance (Peter Hickman Racing), Triumph has developed a race conversion kit, including chassis geometry and suspension upgrades combined with a full race fairing which will create an excellent platform for Triumph riders to compete in this new and exciting championship.
The racebike will make its worldwide debut track appearance at Brands Hatch during the final round of the 2023 Bennetts British Superbike Championship on 14-15 October.
Triumph’s Chief Product Officer Steve Sargent said: “We are extremely excited by the new National Sportbike Championship which is an opportunity to show how affordable road bikes can be converted into competitive race machines. The 660cc triple engine is perfect for this class with its broad spread of power, strong mid-range and good top end. Working in partnership with PHR Performance we believe we have developed an excellent chassis package to allow riders to show their capabilities in what is sure to be an exciting new race series.”
Triumph’s Sportbike and Race conversion kit will be available around the end of January 2024 ready for pre-season testing. Triumph is inviting riders and teams to register their interest by sending their details and racing history to [email protected].
