Lewis Jones emerged victorious at the end of a hard-fought 10-lap scrap as he managed to hold off Ted Wilkinson to win by 0.092secs.
After a race-long battle with several riders jostling for position and swapping the lead, it all came down to a last lap scrap.
Jones led into the final lap but polesitter Wilkinson was determined to get past, as were Joe Ellis and Chloe Jones, the pack heading four-abreast into Island Bend with Chloe coming out ahead.
Ellis then hit the front but Lewis wasn’t done yet and ducked down the inside at Lodge as Wilkinson rode around the outside and it became a drag race to the line, Jones taking victory from Wilkinson with Ellis confirmed as third.
Calum Beach had crossed the line third but was penalised a one place drop for track infringements so was classified as fourth while Chloe Jones took fifth, just 0.223secs behind the winner.
