Fraser Rogers returns to the grid for the remainder of the 2023 Pirelli National Superstock Championship, starting this weekend at IN Competition racing’s home round.
Rogers last rode for the IN Competition racing team headed up by Ian Newton back in 2021 where he finished the season in fourth place having had his debut win at Knockhill aboard the Aprilia RSV4. Rogers has a great relationship with Ian and the Aprilia UK team having spent a season with them as well as taking part and winning the Aprilia Superteens Championship in his debut year, something that both he and Lewis Rollo have in common.
Rogers said: “First of all I want to say a huge thank you to Myra, Ian Newton, Dave Jenkinson and Alex Taylor for having me back. It's like coming home all over again. It's been a long 18 months but I'm sure together we can pick up where we left off and be competitive. I managed to spin some laps on the bike last week and the feeling was there straight away, so I'm excited to get this weekend underway. Also a massive shout out to Steve Buckenham, Gary Caught and all my friends and family who have helped make this possible.”
Ian Newton commented: “Myself and the team are delighted to have Fraser Rogers back with the IN Competition - Aprilia team and in the British Superbike paddock. It is great for Aprilia to not only have one but now two Aprilia Superteen champions flying the flag for such a reputable brand in the best domestic championship in the world. We have taken him under our wing before and he has produced fantastic results, so we can’t wait to get started this weekend at our home round. Let’s see what can be done and if we can get a home round podium from both Lewis Rollo and Fraser above a double header weekend.”
